This year, our Year 6 students will be participating in Beach Swimming lessons as part of the Physical Education program.

Swimming lessons will be held at Mullaloo Beach during Week 6, from Monday, 9th March to Friday, 13th March.

Students will take part in five 80-minute lessons, with sessions commencing at 12.00pm each day.

Students will depart from school at 10.45am and are expected to return at approximately 2.30pm.

What they need:

  • Bathers + Rashie
  • Towel
  • Thongs
  • Goggles
  • Sunscreen
  • Water bottle
  • Change of Clothes
  • Bag for wet items
  • Swimming Cap (optional)

Please ensure that all items are clearly labelled with your child’s name.

Students are asked to come to school with their bathers underneath their sport uniform for the duration of swimming lessons. Students will need to ensure they have all items required to change back into correct sport uniform upon returning to school.

Students will be required to pack their food for the school day as normal. They will be allocated time before their departure to swimming lessons to have lunch and will bring just their water bottles along to the beach for a quick break between lessons. As soon as we return to school, students will have time to eat their recess or smaller snack for the day.

Your child has received a copy of the Department of Education enrolment form for swimming lessons. Please complete the form and return to your child’s class teacher by Friday, 27th February.
