We are excited to let you know that our Year 1 Assembly will be held in Term 3, Week 2 on Friday, 31st July.
We have already started practising, and the students are very excited to share their learning with you. Over the coming days, speaking parts will be sent home to selected students. While not every student will have an individual speaking role, we have spoken with the children about the many different ways everyone contributes to making our assembly a success. Every student will play an important part in the performance.
Our assembly theme is Emotional Regulation and the Zones of Regulation, which students have been exploring during Health lessons and as an ongoing focus within our classroom. We look forward to showcasing some of the strategies and learning that have helped us understand and manage our emotions.
Costume Information
Students are asked to wear clothing in the colour assigned to their class and gender group:
Year 1 Gold
- Boys: Blue
- Girls: Green
Year 1 Blue
- Boys: Red
- Girls: Yellow
Students may wear anything they feel comfortable in, whether casual or dressy, as long as it is predominantly their assigned colour. We encourage families to incorporate as much of the colour as possible.
Some examples include:
- A Year 1 Blue boy could wear a red shirt and red shorts.
- A Year 1 Gold girl could wear a green dress or a green skirt with a white shirt.
The colours have been allocated to ensure an even balance across the performance. Please ensure clothing is school-appropriate and that students wear safe, enclosed footwear.
Thank you for your support. We can’t wait to share our assembly with you!
