With swimming lessons just around the corner, we would like to share this quick reminder, along with a small request and some additional information about eating times.
Swimming Information and Lesson Time Slot Change
If required, please take the time to revisit the information provided here in the Weekly Community Snapshot on Friday, 22nd May. Please note that there has been a change to the Year 2 and Year 3 swimming time slots. If you have any questions or concerns regarding this change, please do not hesitate to contact your child’s classroom teacher.
Request to Families Attending Lessons
For families who may be attending to watch their child swim, we kindly ask you to note the following. Due to limited seating at the pool, we ask that seated spectators stand during class transition times to allow sufficient space for students to place their towels and belongings. Once the departing class has cleared the area, you are most welcome to be seated again in the cleared space.
We greatly appreciate your support and cooperation with this request.
Changes to Student Eating Times
There will also be some adjustments to eating times for students over the two week swimming lesson period.
Year 1 students will eat their lunch during the recess break before swimming, as they will not eat again until around 1:20 pm. Upon returning from swimming, students will have their recess snack before heading out to play.
Year 2 students will continue to have their recess and lunch at the usual school times.
Year 3 students will have an early lunch at 12:00 pm, followed by a short play break before boarding the bus for swimming lessons. As swimming often leaves children feeling hungry, they will have their crunch & sip snack after returning from swimming.
We encourage all families to ensure children bring a packed crunch & sip snack, as well as a decent recess and lunch during swimming lessons.
