We have had such a wonderful start to the year and are so proud of how well the students have settled into Semester Two.

We have loved seeing their confidence and independence grow, along with their eagerness to learn and participate each day. Thank you for your ongoing support, which is greatly appreciated and makes a positive difference.

As we move into Term 3, we will be continuing with the same homework routine and format as we have been doing in semester one. Students will continue to bring home their homework folders each day, with a focus on nightly reading.

Over the next couple of weeks, teachers will be spending time re-testing all students. During this time, you may notice some changes to your child’s reading level. While reading levels are one part, we also place a strong focus on students’ reading behaviors — such as confidence, fluency, comprehension, and their ability to use strategies when reading.

Students are now very familiar with the home reading routine and will continue to be supported at school as they build their independence.

Thank you for your continued support. We are so excited for another term of learning, growth, and success. If you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to get in touch.
