On Tuesday 24th March, we went to Southern River Collage to compete in the Regional Finals of the Synergy Solar Car Challenge. The challenge was hosted by Synergy for 16 primary schools around the Southern Perth metropolitan area. All of the schools had 45 minutes to build their solar car. We were the first ones finished in 20 minutes. Then we had recess provided by Synergy who provided popcorn, muesli bars, bananas and apples. After that we went to the racetrack. Since there was no sun, we had to use our cars on battery mode. In our fist race we came 2nd and went to the next round. In the second round we came 1st and moved to the semi finals. In the semi finals we came third and did not pass to the finals. We ended up coming 5th out of 16 schools, which is still good.
