While this staffing update was communicated directly with the impacted classes last term, we are pleased to also share this news with our wider school community and warmly welcome several new staff members to our team.
Year 1 Gold
Following the resignation of Mrs Sharon Hume for personal reasons, the following arrangements have been put in place for Term 2.
Mrs Genevieve Gevaux will be teaching the class on Mondays and Tuesdays, and Mrs Lauren Everett, who is joining St Anthony’s as a new staff member, will be teaching on Wednesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays. Although this is Lauren’s first official role at St Anthony’s, she brings extensive experience in early years education and has recently spent time at our school in a relief capacity.
From the beginning of Term 2, Genevieve and Lauren can be contacted via email at:
- Genevieve Gevaux – genevieve.gevaux@cewa.edu.au
- Lauren Everett – lauren.everett@cewa.edu.au
Year 5 Blue
This term, Mrs Martina Sweeney is enjoying some well deserved long service leave, returning to us in Term 3. In her absence the following arrangements have been put in place.
Mrs Christine Barry will be teaching the class on Mondays, Tuesdays and Thursdays. Christine is joining St Anthony’s as a new staff member and brings valuable experience and enthusiasm to the role. Mrs Amanda Salt will be teaching the class on Wednesdays and Fridays, increasing her time in Year 5 Blue to two days per week this term.
From the beginning of Term 2, Christine and Amanda can be contacted via email at:
- Christine Barry – christine.barry@cewa.edu.au
- Amanda Salt – amanda.salt@cewa.edu.au
To support a smooth and calm transition for the students, all of our new staff members spent time in the classroom last term meeting the students and engaging in a thorough handover process.
We look forward to welcoming Genevieve, Lauren, Christine and Amanda into their roles for Term 2 and are confident that together they will provide a positive and consistent learning environment for the students in Year 1 Gold and Year 5 Blue.
