Rite of Christian Initiation of Children (RCIC) – Baptism Preparation Classes
RCIC is a series of lessons which prepares children who are in Year 1 or older, and who were not Baptised as babies to receive the Sacrament of Baptism. It can also prepare children who were Baptised into another Christian faith to be received into the Catholic Church. Classes run at St Anthony’s Catholic Church in Term 1 and 3 on a Wednesday and last for 6 weeks. All resources are provided.
To take part in the Sacraments of Initiation (Reconciliation, Eucharist and Confirmation) while at St Anthony’s Primary, children must have received the Sacrament of Baptism before the end of Term 3 Year 3.

Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults (RCIA) – Becoming a Catholic
RCIA are classes which prepare adults who wish to explore becoming Catholic and receive the Sacraments of Initiation. They can also prepare Catholics who may not have completed their Sacraments of Initiation to do so. If you wish to find out more about this process, two Inquiry Evening are to be held in the Presbytery Meeting Room at St Anthony’s. Please attend on either Monday August 3rd or Monday August 10th at 7.00pm.
