In Week 5, we will begin our Parent Mystery Reading Roster.
- Kindy Gold: Monday, Tuesday and Thursday
- Kindy Blue: Monday, Wednesday and Friday
What do you need to do as a Mystery Reader?
- Bring a favourite book from home that your child enjoys.
- Arrive at school by 2:25pm.
- Go to the Main Administration Office on your rostered day.
- Once you arrive, we will ask the children to guess who our Mystery Reader might be.
- The administration staff will then show you to the classroom.
- Just before you enter, we will do a drum roll and you can reveal yourself to the class!
- You will then be invited to read your story to the children.
Please do not tell your child if you put your name on the roster.
Please also keep in mind that at the end of the school day, children can be tired and may have a shorter attention span. A simple, engaging story that takes no longer than approximately five minutes to read will work best.
If you would like to volunteer, the roster will be managed through Microsoft Bookings and the details below should assist in booking a suitable day.
- Click on the relevant link located below.
- Select any bolded date between Monday, 17th August and Friday, 13th November and click on the time slot available. All other dates will be greyed out and un clickable. Once a date has been booked by a parent it will also be immediately greyed out.
- Once booked, families will receive an email confirming the booking. If required, the email also provides a link that enables you to cancel your selected time and choose an alternative.
- A reminder email will automatically be sent 24 hours before your scheduled meeting.
