National Child Protection Week is almost here.  This year’s theme, Every Conversation Matters: Shifting Conversation to Action, reminds us that meaningful conversations can create positive change and help keep children safe.

We are pleased to be hosting a Protective Behaviours Workshop on Monday, 14th September at our school, delivered by the Midvale Hub Parenting Service.  This is a wonderful opportunity for our families to learn practical strategies that support children’s safety, wellbeing, resilience and confidence.

We thank Midvale Hub Parenting Service for partnering with us in this important initiative and look forward to working together to strengthen our community’s commitment to protecting and supporting children.

All parents and carers are warmly invited and encouraged to attend this valuable workshop.

🗓 Date: Monday, 14th September
⏰ Time: 5:00pm – 7:00pm
📍 Location: St Anthony’s School Staff Room

Presenter Bio

My name is Rachel Clark and I am the Coordinator of the Midvale Hub Parenting Service. My journey in supporting children and families has been both professional and deeply personal.

I spent 10 years as a Coordinator in Outside School Hours Care, where I developed a strong passion for creating safe, welcoming spaces for children to grow and thrive.

After volunteering my time through the Midvale Hub facilitating community playgroups, I moved into coordinating a variety of community projects, including Swan Family Connect, playgroups in schools, and the Young Parents Study Program, where I was able to continue to support and empower families through inclusive, community-focused programs and build meaningful connections.

After taking a short break, I returned to what I love as a Parenting Facilitator, a role I have held for the past 9 years.

I hold a Certificate III in Children’s Services and Community Services, along with extensive training in a variety of parenting programs that we deliver.

As a parent of twin boys who are nearly 23, I bring both professional knowledge and lived experience to my work. I am deeply passionate about community engagement and take pride in living and working within the local area, fostering strong, supportive relationships with the families I serve.
