What a symphony of stories and characters we created for our Book Week Parade!
It was brilliant to see and hear the buzz, excitement and joy that filled the school as our students celebrated their love of books and reading. From The Magic Faraway Tree and Stick Man, to Diary of a Wimpy Kid, Pizza and Taco, Harry Potter and The Cat in the Hat, our parade was bursting with much-loved characters. We also had Minions and comic-book superheroes and, of course, we couldn’t forget the Easter Bunny!
Our students brought an incredible array of characters to life from picture books, chapter books, graphic novels, comic books, fairy tales and traditional tales and non-fiction books. It was wonderful to see the diversity of stories that inspire our young readers and the creativity that went into every costume.
A special mention must go to our wonderful staff, who joined together to create their Symphony of Stories! We had Snow White and her dwarves, Alice in Wonderland, The Three Little Pigs and, of course, we can’t forget the Red Wiggle! What a fantastic ensemble!
A huge thank you to all our students for bringing your love of books, reading and characters to our parade. And to our wonderful families — thank you for all the time and effort behind the scenes that helped bring our Symphony of Stories to life.
